Took me awhile to figure out how to respond - sorry for the delay. MCM Technology is based in Birmingham, AL - and I commute a few days each wk (about 2 hr drive, and I stay at a hotel those nites) - in ATL you get use to driving everywhere. Just dropped off the oldest daughter to UVA - she's transferred to that school for her Sophomore yr. Can't believe we all have kids that are as old as we used to be back in HS. My family has a Thanksgiving Reunion in ORL, FL at my brother Jimmy's home - over Thanksgiving, so we're headed for that event - it'll give me a chance to catch up with my Dad for a few days too (my Mom passed last yr, so I like to spend time w/him when I can - he's retired in Melbourne, FL). We'll miss seeing the gang - the one, two before this one was a blast. Good to hear from you, and I enjoy reading up on all the classmate activities. Take Care. Dan C
Hello, Karen! I didn't put much (if anything) into my profile because I've been trying to hide from Arena all these years. My plan isn't working too well since I just saw him last week in Rochester. He still looks the same. And, that's not a compliment, Jerry!
Like you, I've been married for awhile (going on 24 years) and have two kids, Andy & Abby. Andy will be 16 soon and Abby is 14. We live in Newburgh which is about 55 miles north of NY City and situated on the Hudson River. Been here since 1986. Prior to that I was down in the West Palm Beach area where I met my wife, Liz.
I'm working with the county parks department and have been working in that field for over 30 years. Manage facilities such as golf courses, ski areas and put on events and programs for the community. I'm the funmeister, so to say. Stupid title no doubt but it's a lot cleaner than what certain members of the public call me.
Jerry was the one who suggested that I join this site so at least he can claim one good idea in his lifetime. I am a reluctant computer operator with very limited ability and a natural aversion to using it (along with cell phones too, for that matter) but this, I must admit, is interesting. My memory is spotty but I do remember all the names and faces from the past. Went to the last reunion (the first night only) and saw Mike Glor, Debbie Kirk, Betty Fix, Steve Iadarola, Gub, Jerry (seriously,..I can't get away from him), Fred Schmitt, George Carafos, Mary Morris (and she didn't remember me at all which was quite annoying), Dave Storey, Dibaudo, Alfano, Marty, etc., etc. For as different as we all look, we're still the same.
You too, Arena. Unfortunately...
Holy crap I can 't believe you remember me. the only family I have in Rochester is my mom, sister and brother. My brother does not talk to me, he has too much religion and I am a bad parent because I was a working mom. go figure. my sister and mom still live in Rochester and I will definetly ask for them to endorse you. Can't wait to see you at the reunion.
Of course I remember you. I am actually working on the planning committee for the reunion, so I plan to attend. I am running for re-election this year, so please tell your family and friends in Monroe County to vote for me on November 4. Looking forward to seeing you and catching up on what you have been up to.
Hi Karen. Nice to hear from you.
Hey, I may not be getting rich with what I'm doing but it's nice to be able to get up in the morning and look forward to working (unlike when I was in business/industry).
It looks like you are keeping busy! Congratulations on going for your degree.
My other half wont be coming but it will be fun to meet yours! Does he like to ski?
Going to NY end of month - hoping a reunion planning event will be that week -
I am so proud of you, I know you are still learning how to eat, what to eat and when to eat. you made a big decision one that is life altering. and trust me it will pay off, physically and economically. this world is superficial and looks really affect the person and the job, but I will tell you this your health story will be a benefit. Hang in there things will get better.
Hi Karen yeah Iknow it get easier but the job thing is bothering me right 14 months off hopefully something might pop next 2 weeks right now I've lost 210 pounds and still droping 40 more to go keep in touch Roger
